There’s nothing like a warm bath, and soaking in this DLY bath salts is one of my favorite ways to relax and unwind. I make a regular bath even better. When you using  homemade bath salts. My basic DLY bath salts recipe calls for simple  panty ingredients: espom salt and baking soda. Adding essential oil is a nice and easy way to put scent into your bath salts, but it’s totally optional.

Taking an epsom salt bath highly benefinical for your body! In water, epsom salt breaks down into the minerals magnesium and sulfate. Our bodies can easily absorb these  minerals when we soak in an epsom salt bath which replenishes our magnesium and sulfate levels. In a nutshell, epsom salt can make us feel better. Epsom salt baths are also an excellect home remdy for aches, pain and redness, sore muscles, fibromylgia and tired, swollen feet.


Epsom salt is are available at ebay and amazon and including drug stores, grocery stores I  would buy it in the large resealable bags. I also buy the large resalable bags of baking soda. I take a lot of epsom salt  and baking soda baths, good thing the basic ingredients are relatively inexpensive.

You can easily add a few drops of essential oil to your dly bath salts for aromatherapy benefits Lavender essential oil is one of the most popular oils to use for bath salts becauseof is very calming effect.

Bath salt are fun to make for yourself and to gives loves ones and yours friends  for homemade gifts. Recently I whipped up a batch of lavender bath salts and few drops of purple food coloring. The  food coloring tints the bath watera slight lavender color. Don’t worry  about  it will not dye your sikn  or bathtub



This is Basic DLY Bath Salts Recipe 

  • 1 cup epsom salts

  • 1/4 cup baking soda

  • optional essential oils 5 or 10 drops of essential oils

  • optional food coloring  about 3 or 5 drops add a light tint to salts


combine epsom salts and baking soda in a small bowl stir until well  mixed

If you adding essential oils: Gently stir essential oils to the salt mixure. If adding food coloring: Be carefully add 5 drops of coloring to the salt mixture and stir until salts are completely colored *add more drop if a daker color is desired, and fewer drops for a lighter tint.
